Welcome to EURAMY!

The systemic amyloidoses is a heterogeneous group of disease, all characterized by deposition in many tissues and organs of a pathological substance, called amyloid.

The general aim of the EU FP6 EURAMY project is to understand how proteins form fibrils and how these exert negative effects on cells. The aim is also to translate this knowledge on proteins, protein folding and protein interaction into the clinical situation in order to develop safe diagnostic methods and new treatments for this group of often deadly diseases. This will be done by a collective effort of the EURAMY group of scientists, covering the whole field from molecular mechanisms to clinicians devoted to treatment of patients with systemic amyloidosis.

We welcome you to this website where Health Professionals, Patients and Partners will find information and news about the project.
